Economista.
Egresado de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Maestría en Estudios sobre el Desarrollo, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Inglaterra. Realizó cursos de actualización profesional en Harvard Kennedy School y College of Europe. Ha sido director ejecutivo de la Unión de Cámaras y columnista del periódico La República en Costa Rica. Fungió como Especialista en Actividades con Empleadores y Desarrollo de Empresas en la sede de OIT en Ginebra, Suiza (2004-2008). Trabajó en 20 países de 4 continentes durante ese periodo. Entre 2009 y 2010 fue Coordinador del Proyecto Sub-regional de Diálogo Social de OIT para los países del DR-CAFTA. Es miembro de Central American Leadership Initiative (CALI), The Aspen Institute. En febrero de 2011 asumió el cargo de Especialista Principal en Desarrollo Empresarial y Formación Profesional en la Organización Internacional del Trabajo.
